Mind control is an utility / offensive Shadow spell which allows you to turn any non-boss and non-elite enemy at or under your level under your cursor permanently into your pet.

Transfer

After a successful cast, your pet will inherit the following traits from the enemy:

  1. Their appearance
  2. Their abilities - main attack, special attack and all spells
  3. Their class
  4. Their resistances

Your pet will NOT inherrit the following traits from the enemy:

  1. Hitpoints
  2. Damage
  3. Speed
  4. Healing power
  5. Threat generation

Certain enemy abilities can affect only you and would be underpowered if used against enemies. This is why some of them convert into different abilities when the enemy is mind controlled.

Capture

Right after using Mind Control, you deal a small amount of damage to the enemy - small enough to not kill it but high enough to force the enemy to start defending itself. Your newly captured pet will appear in the quickswap window and it can be either directly used or transfered to the pet bank even when you're away from the pet trainer.

Level 1

Allows you to capture enemies. You also cannot use pets without Mind Control at at least level 1.

Ingame description:

Takes control over a regular enemy's mind below or at your level, turning them permanently into your pet
Only one pet may be active at the same time. You can also hide your pet to gain 20% of its hitpoints and 50% of its damage

Level 2

At Mind control level 2, you unlock pet stances, allowing you to specialize your pet into a role you need:

Level 3

At Mind control level 3, your pet stances are empowered, gaining even more powerful bonuses:.

  • Tank stance - 15% of all damage you take is transfered to your pet instead.
  • Healer stance - Your pet will passively restore 2% of its maximum hitpoints every 3 seconds.
  • Damage stance - Your pet deals more damage the lower your hitpoints are.
