Plague

Plague is a single target Shadow damage over time spell.

Travels 25 tiles a second, if it hits an enemy, it applies Plague, dealing (e.g. 30% torment= 0.3) damage per tick. Lasts for 6 ticks (12 seconds by default), dealing a total of damage.

While you can apply multiple stacks of Plague on one enemy, it's very inefficient to do so as only the first stack deals full damage. Any subsequent stack lowers the damage of every active stack in a way where the combined damage is increased by only 10%.

Plague stacking example
Original damage Stacks Damage per stack Damage total
1000 1 1000 (100% per stack) 1000
1000 2 550 (55% per stack) 1100
1000 5 300 (30% per stack) 1500
1000 10 200 (20% per stack) 2000
