Gathering is a 
Professions skill.
Leveling
To gain gathering experience, you should:
- Gather flowers - Every flower gives a set amount of experience
Leveling bonuses
- The average amount of basic (common) flower materials you gain and the chance to obtain standard (uncommon) flower materials by gathering is increased by 0.25% per level, starting at 0.25% at level 1, going up to 15% at level 60
- Harvest efficiency depends on gathering level
