Every settlement and guild except outposts in Torisia uses reputation.

Gaining reputation

There are 2 ways to gain reputation

Losing reputation

It's also possible to lose reputation, mostly by harming NPCs by committing crimes.

  • Losing reputation by itself does not lower anyone's opinion. However, being jailed or paying a fine for crimes does
  • You can regain reputation the same way as before
  • Prices increase as they're always based on the current reputation
  • You do not lose item rewards but you can claim them only once. Even if you drop and regain reputation
  • You can lose non-item rewards (E.g. fast travel)

Reputation types

There are 2 types of reputation:

  • Settlements based - Tied to one specific settlement
  • Guild based - Tied to a guild that can have several branches spread all over Torisia. All these branches share one reputation as long as they're a part of the same guild.

Reputation rewards

Merchants

Every point of reputation affects the prices of all merchants that are members of it (most commonly all merchants inside of a settlement).

Price ranges vary based on the settlement size and the item's value.

  • Sell price - The Gold you gain from selling this item (E.g. Item value is 10 gold with 50% sell price - you get only 5 gold)
  • Buy price - The Gold you have to pay to buy this item (E.g. Item value is 10 gold with 200% buy price - you have to pay 20 gold)

The prices scale linearly between 0 reputation and the reputation required for the highest milestone reward. (E.g. settlement has buy prices between 100 and 200%, with the highest milestone requiring 100 reputation. If you're in the middle with 50 reputation, you gain prices in the middle of price range (150% in this case)).

Small settlements (small villages and smaller)

  • Buy prices - 250% (no reputation) - 235% (max reputation)
  • Sell prices - 27% (no reputation) - 30% (max reputation)

Medium settlements (large villages and smaller towns)

  • Buy prices - 265% (no reputation) - 245% (max reputation)
  • Sell prices - 25% (no reputation) - 28% (max reputation)

Large settlements (large towns and cities)

  • Buy prices - 300% (no reputation) - 255% (max reputation)
  • Sell prices - 22% (no reputation) - 26% (max reputation)

Tier rewards

Every reputation offers tier rewards from their village boards, though rewards might differ based on the reputation. These rewards can be:

  • Unlocking paid/free fast travel to the village board. Is unlocked automatically upon reach the reputation tier, it doesn't have to be claimed
  • Items, usually related to the reputation source. E.g. Fishing guild gives fishing related items
