Settlements
Settlement weatlh
Every settlement in Torisia has a certain amount of wealth that depends on how well is the settlement's economy doing.
- Poorer settlements are often small with a few pieces of furniture inside of their buildings.
- Richer settlements can be much larger, they can have expensive furniture or buildings.
The richer (and larger) the settlements is, the more likely they are to have rare buildings like blacksmith.
Settlement size
All settlements can be split into 5 categories by size.
- Outpots - One to a very few NPCs live here with no local economy.
- Small villages - A few NPCs live here. There is some local economy but these villages are usually poor
- Large villages - These villages can be wealthy but their economy is often focused on just a single type of products.
- Towns - Many NPCs live here, often with a diversified economy and many services.
- Cities - Cities are very large and rich settlements full of people. You can often find all services you might need, however you need a permission to enter them.
Settlement types
Fishing
Fishing settlements can exist only near large bodies of deep water as their economies are based around catching fish. There may also be a local branch of the fishing guild in larger fishing villages.
Farming
Farming settlements can be often found around rivers. Their economies are based around growing food or taking care of animals like bees or chickens. These villages are often small and poor.
Animal
These settlements house only animals. Their only purpose is to provide shelter and food for those living there. You can find merchants and quests there but probably not much more.
