Recipes are usable items that unlock you the ability to craft potions, food, equipment or other useful items out of crafting materials. Using one recipe can unlock multiple items to craft. In general:

• Equipment recipes unlock one item per recipe. Some recipes can however, unlock multiple items.
• Enchanted book recipes unlock all rarities of a single enchanted book.
• Potion recipes unlock the entire potion type (E.g. all tiers of damage potions). With the exception of unlimited potions where every tier is unlocked individually.
• Food recipes unlock every item individually.

If you obtain a recipe, you can learn it by right clicking it in your inventory. You cannot learn the same recipe twice and the only usage of such recipes is to sell them.

Obtaining recipes

You can obtain recipes in many various ways. These are from most common to least common:

• Merchants - Many merchants can sell various recipes
• Killing enemies - Some regular enemies can drop recipes, however it's much more common for bosses and elites. If enemies drop recipes, they almost always use crafting materials the enemies themselves drop. Once you unlock a recipe or if it's in your inventory, you can no longer obtain it this way again (unless you sell it or throw it away).
