Firepits are interactable objects that can be used for crafting. Interacting with one opens the crafting window, giving you the firepit bonus, increasing the amount of food you get. Standing near a firepit also applies 
Burn on you. It can be interacted with only when it's lit but you can set it on fire by using any 
Fire spell on it or 
Ice spell to extinguish it. You gain 200 
Exploration experience on discovering a firepit.
