Gold node is a very valuable mining node through the entire game as Gold ingot is used in many recipes regardless of their usage and power. Mining it with no bonuses grants you:

1 - 2 Gold ingot
12% chance to obtain Solar shard
2% chance to obtain Algazite
1200 Gathering exp

You can get 30% higher yield if you mine it with gathering level higher than 14.
