Your map can be opened by pressing the map key (M by default) or by clicking the "show on map" button from the quest journal.

Using the map

The map automatically focuses on you and resets its zoom anytime you open it and you can zoom in/out with your mouse scroll wheel or clicking the zoom buttons. To move around the map, simply drag it with a mouse. The game is paused while your map is opened but you can temporarily unpause it by moving. By doing so, the map turns transparent and you can still move but you can't interact with the world until you close it.

Context menu

Context menu of a map marker

Right clicking on any non-player marker opens a list of options.

  • Removable markers can be removed this way. However, this option hides all markers for a specific object (E.g. Hides all spawn points for one enemy or hides all anvils) and not just a single specific marker.
  • You can also set guidance to guide you directly to this marker.

Guidance

You can set a guidance to any map marker. Doing so will display an arrow in the right upper part of your screen pointing at the direction of the marker.

Basic map markers

There are several types of map markers.

Player marker

The player marker is always visible and showing you where exactly are you now.

Points of interest

Represent special locations on the map

Custom markers

These markers can be placed by you anywhere you want. They will always be visible and even get saved in the save file.

You can tell which custom markers are currently active by looking at their frame.

Active/inactive custom markers

Left clicking on an active custom marker button places it wherever you click after.

Left clicking on an inactive custom marker button removes it.

Right clicking on a custom marker instantly centers your camera on it.

Discovering

You can see map markers only for those gathering nodes or town services, that you have discovered already. To do so, you have to walk 5 or less tiles away from them.

Filters

Filters allow you to select what markers to show on your map for easier navigation. Clicking on a filter button opens up a window with all filters available. The filter is active if it's frame turns yellow. Each filter also lets you hide all map markers from their category.

Enemies

Shows all enemies in the current zone. These markers are placed on spawner positions so it's possible the enemies might've wandered away from them. These markers are also locked until you discover all points of interest for the current zone

Quests

Shows all currently active quests in Torisia and their markers.

Nodes

Shows all nodes that you've discovered.

Town services

Shows many interactables (Anvils, Merchants, etc.) that you've discovered.
